Dancing Water Drop
Everybody has once observed a dancing water drop on a hotplate. Depending on the suitability of the structuring and on the different pressure on the left and right side, the water is accelerated in one direction. The exhibit shows a hot (protected) metal plate with a defined path for the water drop. The visitor can now himself dispense a water drop and observe how it floats along the path on the metal plate without any force being applied from the outside. At the amazement of the visitors, the water drop remains for a long time on the 200°C hot plate.
